Teaching & Tutoring Services
The role of a writing teacher is not simply to improve students' writing, but to help students become effective communicators, clear thinkers, insightful observers, and active participants in the world around them. I am available to tutor students at any age taking any writing-intensive class or working on college application essays. I also work with students studying for SAT and ACT testing and am familiar with both AP and IB curricula. Private creative writing workshop sessions are also available.
Experience
I have experience working with students at every age and skill level, from elementary school to the university level. From 2012-2014, I taught English and Creative Writing at BASIS Tucson North. At Goucher College, I TAed two writing-intensive classes and worked as a tutor and co-director of Goucher College's writing center. I have also volunteered with the Read-A-Story, Write-A-Story program in Baltimore, MD and the R.E.C.E.S.S. Tutoring Program in Phoenix, AZ.
